Wallet – A small case for holding your money.

Income – The money you get from working, selling things, or gifts.
Earnings – Money you make from work or selling something.
Allowance – Money you get regularly from parents or guardians.
Expense – The money you spend.
Profit – Money you make after paying all costs.

Bank – A safe place to keep your money.
Savings Account – A special bank account where you keep your saved money safe.
Piggy Bank – A container for saving coins and notes.
Interest – Extra money you earn from the bank for keeping your money there.
Loan – Money you borrow and must pay back.
Debt – Money you owe someone.
Credit – Money you can use now but pay for later.
Credit Card – A card that lets you buy things now and pay later.
Debit Card – A card that takes money straight from your bank account.
Check – A paper you can use to pay someone from your bank account.
Crypto & Decentralised Finance
Crypto– Money that lives online, not in your wallet.
Bitcoin– the first and most famous type of crypto.
Digital wallet– A safe app or a device where you keep your crypto (like a digital piggy bank).
Blockchain – A big list on the internet where all crypto trades are written so nobody cheats.
Mining – Computers solving puzzles to create new coins.
NFT – A special digital picture, card, or item that only one person can truly own
Exchange – A place online to trade crypto for dollars or swap one coin for another.
Token– A small piece of crypto you can use in games, apps or as proof you own something.
Gas Fee - A small cost you pay to move or trade crypto, like a delivery fee.
HODL - A funny way to say “hold on to your crypto, don’t sell yet”.

Invest – Using money to buy something that will hopefully make you more money later.
Asset – Something you own that is worth money, like a bike or a house.
Liability – Something you owe, like a loan.
Depreciate – When something you own loses value over time.
Appreciate – When something you own becomes worth more over time.
Stock – A tiny piece of a company you can own.
Share – Another word for owning a small part of a company.
Dividend – Money a company pays you for owning its stock.
Bond – A way to lend your money to a company or government so they can pay you back with extra.
Portfolio – A collection of all the things you’ve invested in.
Capital – Money you use to start or grow something.

Market – A place where people buy and sell things.
Trade – Swapping something you have for something you want.
Broker – A person who helps you buy and sell stocks.
Mortgage – A special loan to buy a house.
Rent – Money you pay to live in someone else’s place.

Risk – The chance you could lose money.
Reward – The money you could earn if your plan works.
Net Worth – How much money and valuable things you have, minus what you owe.
Exchange Rate – How much one type of money is worth compared to another.
Inflation – When prices go up and money buys less.
Deflation – When prices go down and money buys more.
Economy – How money moves around in a place through buying, selling, and working.
